Lilys birthday necklace
With money from her Aunt Gill, Lily bought this necklace from Joseph the jeweler from Tuba City. We all met on the shores of Round Lake and discussed art, beauty, love, impermanence and the transformation of tadpoles into frogs. We were also educated on the making of jewelry, on Googli (the crow) and on The Dine (5 fingered creatures) which is what the "Navajo" people call themselves. "Navajo is the government word" is what Joseph explains. Lily is happy with her new jewels and is also given a pendant for protection. We find kindness everywhere we go.........
